I have a 2016 VT (without tech package) and I am wondering about CarPlay. I was browsing today and see some details of an available download on Hyundai's site for an update to the 2016 Veloster. Some details say navigation is required and others don't. My question is, has anyone done. Hyundai dealer tells me the head unit is out of warranty and they want to update the software on it to see if it fixes it to the tune of $98. No guarantee it works. Obviously I don't want to pay someone $98 to stick a USB drive in a slot and wait an hour, and it doesn't even include a map update. Hyundai's call centre was no help whatsoever.
